HEART ART: PAINT YOUR FLOW

HEART ART: PAINT YOUR FLOW

November 5, 2024

Can you think of one word that encapsulates freedom, following your intuition, riding a wave of feeling, working spontaneously, and dabbling in the unknown?

I can: PAINT!

PAINT YOUR FLOW is an intuitive painting journey, designed by Heart Art creator and ASTAR trained facilitator, Gail Schoeman.

In this eight-week course, you'll experience:

  • Embracing the Process: Letting go of perfection and discovering the magic in spontaneity.
  • Connecting with Your Inner Artist: Tuning into your emotions and letting them guide your mark-making.
  • Creating Without Limits: Exploring vibrant colours, bold shapes, symbols and stories in a supportive, judgment-free space.

Embark on a transformative journey where the canvas becomes a mirror to your deeper self, reflecting your unique flow of expression and creation. No previous experience is needed - just bring your curiosity and an open heart.

PAINT YOUR FLOW offers a practice in:

  • Staying present to whatever arises
  • Staying centred in times of imperfection and vulnerability
  • Gaining confidence in your unique creative style

More than a painting course; this is a pathway to discovering your authentic self.

What is Heart Art?

Heart Art is spontaneous “in the moment” creative expression. Your art tells you exactly what you need to know about yourself right now.

Heart Art is a non-judgemental approach to art-making where the process is the focus rather than the end product. There are no planned outcomes or expectations. You are encouraged to work spontaneously and to trust the creative process. You are invited to express yourself honestly and to honour all that is made with acceptance.

At the beginning of each session, you are introduced to a life-oriented theme and guided through an inspiration process (visualisation, meditation, story etc). This creates a focus for the art-making activity. These processes are designed to bypass the critical, controlling mind so that you are able to let go of fear and surrender to the moment.

The art-making involves mixed-media work using a wide variety of materials. The approach is playful and experimental.

At the end of each session, there is time for reflecting on your work. This is an opportunity to explore meaning and make connections between art and life.
